About the Role

Our client is offering an excellent opportunity for individuals to train as Millwright Apprentices in Richards Bay. This apprenticeship focuses on developing the skills required to install, maintain, and repair a wide range of industrial machinery and mechanical systems. You will gain hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems, learning diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance techniques under the guidance of seasoned millwrights.

This role is perfect for those who enjoy problem-solving, working with complex machinery, and pursuing a trade with excellent long-term career prospects in industrial environments.

• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and lubrication on industrial equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical faults in machinery.
• Assist with repairs and replacement of worn or damaged machine parts.
• Learn to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics and manuals.

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent, preferably with technical subjects like Engineering Graphics and Design.
• A strong aptitude for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adhere to safety regulations.
• Willingness to commit to the full apprenticeship duration and theoretical training.
