Field Service Technician - Energy Equipment

Our client seeks a dedicated and hands-on Field Service Technician to provide essential support for specialized energy equipment in and around Richards Bay . This role is critical for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our clients' installations, directly impacting operational continuity in the energy sector . You will be responsible for installations, maintenance, and repairs, requiring a strong technical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills.

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of energy equipment , including turbines, generators, and control systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to identify potential issues and preventative maintenance needs.
• Respond to service calls and troubleshoot equipment failures efficiently and effectively.
• Document all service activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent, accurately in the company's service reporting system.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations while working on-site.
• Provide technical support and training to clients on equipment operation and maintenance.

• Technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering or a related trade.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role, preferably in the energy industry .
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with a good understanding of energy systems .
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the Richards Bay region and surrounding areas.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
