Junior Telecoms Installation Technician

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Telecoms Installation Technician to join their expanding team in Richards Bay, Kwa Zulu-Natal . This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about telecommunications and eager to build a career in network installation and maintenance. You will work under the guidance of experienced technicians, learning to install, test, and commission various telecommunications equipment at customer sites.

This role requires a hands-on approach, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to delivering quality service, forming the foundation of their on-site technical expertise.

• Assist in the installation and setup of telecommunications equipment, including routers, modems, and cabling, at residential and business premises.
• Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of installed systems to ensure proper functionality and connectivity.
• Follow installation plans and technical diagrams accurately to ensure correct deployment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
• Report installation progress and any encountered issues to the senior technician or supervisor.
• Provide basic customer support and orientation on the newly installed services.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
• A passion for technology and telecommunications, with a strong desire to learn.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and cabling is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions precisely.
• Good physical condition, able to lift equipment and work in various environments.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Richards Bay area.
