Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Industrial Equipment Installer to join their team in Richards Bay . This role is crucial for the successful deployment and setup of various industrial machinery and systems. You will be responsible for interpreting blueprints, preparing sites, and expertly installing equipment to ensure it operates safely and efficiently from day one. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to adhering to strict safety standards, playing a key role in project success and client operational readiness in a vital industrial hub.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and installation manuals to guide equipment setup.
- Prepare installation sites, ensuring all necessary preparations, such as foundation work and utility connections, are completed.
- Perform precise installation of heavy industrial machinery and associated components.
- Align, level, and secure equipment according to specifications, ensuring structural integrity.
- Conduct initial testing and calibration of installed equipment to verify functionality and performance.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
- Proven experience as an Industrial Equipment Installer or in a related mechanical installation role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Ability to read and work from complex technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as lifting and rigging equipment.
- Excellent physical condition and ability to work in demanding environments, including heights and confined spaces.
