Mechanical Fitter

About the Role Our client requires a meticulous and experienced Mechanical Fitter for their operations in Richards Bay . This role is critical for the assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery used in industrial settings. You will work closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure all mechanical systems function reliably and efficiently, contributing directly to the smooth operation of complex projects and production lines.

• Assemble, install, and fit mechanical components and systems according to blueprints and specifications.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on industrial machinery.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools to accurately fit and adjust mechanical parts.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, implementing effective repair solutions.
• Ensure all fitted components meet strict quality and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite, adhering to all safety protocols.

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in assembling and maintaining industrial mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and workshop tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles and system diagnostics.
