Payroll & Accounting Specialist
Salary: $55,000
Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Schedule: Monday-Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. (Minimum 40 hours/week; overtime as needed)

AboutThe Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join our accounting team. This role supports a variety of accounting functions, including payroll processing, reconciliations, and month-end close. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and comfortable working with multiple departments to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll records.
Key Responsibilities- Process bi-weekly and bonus payrolls; post payroll journal entries into Quick Books.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, payroll laws, and internal accounting policies.
- Maintain positive vendor relationships.
- Use the iSolved payroll system to ensure all payroll activity is properly approved.
- Assist with multi-company payroll activities (multi-state experience not required).
- Perform additional accounting and payroll tasks as assigned.
- 3-5 years of payroll and accounting experience.
- CCP certification or 5+ years of payroll processing experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of Quick Books experience (required).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP.
- Experience working with any third-party payroll service.
- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong work ethic, timeline-driven, and dependable.
- A self-starter with a balanced personality-organized and detailed, but flexible.
- On-site role requiring consistent in-office attendance.
- Must be willing to work 40 hours weekly and remain until payroll tasks are completed.
- Interviews will be conducted with Vicki and Priya (no interviews scheduled before 10 a.m.).
- Meetings held in small or large conference rooms as needed.
