What You Will Do
- Supporting various projects and ad‑hoc requests
- Reviewing and researching payroll liability accounts
- Providing labor accounting support
- Assisting the reconciliation activities and close processes of the ES General Accounting team
- Completing general ledger accounting entries
- Conducting balance sheet reconciliations
- Providing bi‑weekly payroll accounting support
- Supporting month‑end and quarter‑end close activities
- Performing data analysis and recommending corrective actions related to accounting activities
- Providing support to PwC, DCAA, and internal audits as needed
- Managing ad‑hoc projects that expose you to Payroll, Timekeeping, Corporate Accounting, Business Accounting, and the SAP Competency Center
- Possibly supporting multiple ES areas including Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Payroll, Timekeeping, Tax, Global Disbursements, Orders to Cash, and Global Mobility
- Exploring opportunities for role expansion and rotation within the ES General Accounting team (e.g., Fixed Assets, Intercompany, Labor & Payroll)
- A university degree and at least two years of relevant corporate finance or accounting experience
- Advanced degree in a related field is preferred
- Experience with or knowledge of SAP or other major ERP finance systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, V‑Lookup, X‑Lookup)
- Confidence in making sound decisions and focus on critical priorities
- Strong analytical, problem‑identification, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
- Self‑starter with initiative, ownership of assignments and a desire to improve processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with others
- Capacity to multi‑task, perform under pressure, meet deadlines and thrive in a fast‑paced setting
- Previous Raytheon finance experience is a plus
