Overview
As a CBRE GL Sr. Accountant, you will update and maintain records, reconcile general ledger accounts, participate in customer invoicing process, submit customer invoices through online portal and/or internal process, submit A/P invoices, process expense reports, manage time card approvals for Costa Rica, prepare journal entries, and process intercompany invoicing for revenue reimbursements.
What You’ll Do- Claim and record wire receipts from customers.
- Review sub accounts on Balance Sheet and Income Statement for Costa Rica.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and revenue entry for Costa Rica.
- Coordinate and follow up with Project Managers and Account Managers on open timecards, approvals, and corrections.
- Participate in month‑end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, and coding of accounts payable and expense reports for intercompany.
- Prepare expense reports for Per Diems and travel related expense reports and track fixed assets.
- Update the monthly cash flow and prepare accounting related documents for external accounting firm.
- Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
- Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 2‑5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Knowledge of basic financial and accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with office productivity applications and aptitude for learning new systems.
- In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Advanced math skills – ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial‑related calculations.
