Position Overview
Generational Group is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Associate to join our Finance team in Richardson, Texas. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, this role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and payments, vendor and outstanding payables reconciliations, and maintaining financial records in full compliance with firm policies and accounting standards.
The ideal candidate brings proven accounts payable experience, a meticulous approach to financial data, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities- Process payments owed by the company to suppliers and creditors
- Execute electronic and physical check payments
- Assist with requesting/entering W9’s
- Assist with preparing 1099’s
- Enter and code vendor invoices and bills
- Process invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Monitor payment activity
- Reconcile outstanding payables
- Process expense reports
- Provide project assistance for automating incoming invoices
- Communicate effectively and interface with stakeholders and manufacturers
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple competing priorities
- Problem solving, decisiveness, and resolution management
- Strong follow-up skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Analytical and growth mindset
- Ability to work independently and take full accountability
- Excellent organizational skills
- Minimum 3 years of prior experience in Accounts Payable
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Prior experience working in Microsoft Business Central 365 is a plus
- Prior experience working in Concur is a plus
