Interim Accounts Payable Manager

We are looking for an experienced interim accounts payable manager to oversee a high-volume payables operation in Richardson, Texas. This long-term contract position is ideal for a hands-on leader who can keep daily activity running smoothly while improving processes, strengthening vendor controls, and guiding a high-performing team. The role requires strong judgment, analytical ability, and the confidence to work across finance, operations, and technology functions.

You will play a key part in ensuring timely payments, accurate invoice handling, and scalable accounts payable practices.

This is a 3-month contract position.

100% ONSITE in Richardson, TX

Must have D365 experience

This is a hands-on AP transformation support role.

Key Responsibilities

• Support phased implementation of VIC AI across branches.
• Assist with testing (UAT), workflow validation, and identifying system/process issues.
• Help document AP processes, procedures, and training materials.
• Support change management communications for branches and vendors.
• Assist with invoice coding standards, invoice recognition, and automation accuracy.
• Help monitor and resolve VIC AI to D365 interface issues.
• Support temporary operations across multiple VIC AI environments during rollout.
• Partner with AP leadership, Black Diamond, and internal teams to improve processes and user adoption.

Ideal Background

• Strong AP experience with a solid understanding of full-cycle AP.
• Experience supporting system implementations, AP automation, or process improvement initiatives.
• Strong Excel skills (XLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables; Power Query a plus).
• Comfortable testing systems, troubleshooting issues, and documenting processes.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work in a changing environment.
