Temporary Testing Center Assistant (Part-Time)
Position Title: Temporary Testing Center Assistant (Part-Time)
Job Summary: Provide administrative support for a testing center’s routine business and academic activities.
Minimum
Education & Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent. Some college coursework or relevant experience.
Preferred
Education & Experience:
- Two years of college and one year of related work experience
- Experience in an office or testing center environment
Knowledge and
Skills:
- Knowledge of college policies, procedures, and operations
- Knowledge of prescribed testing conditions and testing security
- Customer service and professional courtesy skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to articulate testing requirements
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions precisely
- Ability to maintain constant vigilance and detect any sign of scholastic dishonesty

Qualifications:
The position may require the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure; maintaining its security or integrity is a minimum qualification for hiring and continued employment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet candidates and verify personal information by checking identifications.
- Provide candidates with test instructions, exam timings, and distribute test materials; sort and file information accurately and promptly.
- Follow test procedures and adhere to academic integrity policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and secure storage of all test materials and overall testing environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, visitors and represent the Testing Center and the university professionally.
- Assist with resolution of problems and irregularities during testing and prepare related reports.
- Adhere to university policies and procedures, handling confidential information with discretion and in alignment with FERPA regulations.
- Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks with minimum supervision within the designated time frame while maintaining a professional attitude.
- Maintain reliable attendance and be flexible to work varied hours, including days, evenings and some Saturdays.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures, and core values.
Working Conditions: Must be flexible to work Monday through Friday to support the testing schedule—morning, mid‑afternoon, or evening—and at least one Saturday per month. Remote work is not available for this position.
