Collections Specialist

Description We are looking for a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our team in Richardson, Texas. This is a Contract to permanent opportunity where you will play a key role in managing customer accounts and ensuring timely payments. Responsibilities:

- Manage and monitor customer accounts to identify overdue payments and initiate appropriate collection actions.

- Communicate effectively with customers to negotiate payment arrangements and resolve outstanding balances.

- Utilize skip tracing techniques to locate customers and update account records accordingly.

- Prepare and send collection correspondence to customers, ensuring compliance with company policies.

- Document account statuses and maintain accurate records of all interactions and payment agreements.

- Assist in resolving customer service issues related to collections, providing attentive and timely support.

- Generate monthly reports detailing delinquent accounts and collection activities.

- Support workout arrangements and write-offs as necessary, ensuring proper documentation.

- Collaborate with team members to improve collection processes and enhance efficiency.

- Utilize tools such as Salesforce and Microsoft Excel to track and analyze account data. Requirements - Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in collections or a related field.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, with experience in formulas and data analysis.

- Familiarity with commercial and consumer collections processes.

- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a detail-oriented approach.

- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience with platforms like Salesforce is highly desirable.

- Knowledge of commercial lending and leasing practices is a plus.

- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
