We are currently recruiting for a Product Manager located in Claremont, NC, Apex, NC, Shakopee, MN, or El Paso, TX.
How You’ll Help Us Connect the WorldThe Product Manager is responsible for the profitable growth of a defined product line within the Broadband business unit. Responsibilities include product line strategy, pricing, profitability, and marketing, as well as managing new product introductions to market. The role requires cross‑functional collaboration with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Customer Service and demands effective team leadership.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage the product life cycle of the portfolio.
- Manage financial performance, including revenue attainment and margin.
- Lead new product launches by defining requirements, establishing pricing, and creating marketing collateral.
- Advise operations on product demand information, forecasting, and timing.
- Define and execute short‑ and long‑term product strategy, participating in technology and roadmap development to identify growth opportunities.
- Research competitive products, uncovering customer needs through trade shows, market publications, social media, and regular sales communication.
- Evaluate product performance relative to market, recommending changes to reduce cost, improve lead time, improve product performance, and revise promotional strategies.
- Support sales calls, quotes, bid preparations, and product loads in appropriate systems.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in product management, product development, or technical internships in the telecom, networking, or connectivity space.
- High proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Creative problem‑solver with demonstrated ability to diagnose issues, evaluate alternatives, and propose data‑driven solutions.
- Ability to work and drive alignment within cross‑functional teams, including engineering, operations, sales, and marketing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven track record of effective communication in a technical environment and to non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to travel up to 20%–30% of the time, including customer visits, manufacturing sites, and industry events.
- Experience working with outside plant (OSP) fiber closures, connectors, cable assemblies, or other fiber optic products.
- Knowledge of FTTX network design, deployment practices, and construction methods.
- Familiarity with business finance, including product costing, margin analysis, and P&L fundamentals.
- Data analytics experience, with the ability to identify patterns, derive insights, and support decisions with quantitative justification.
