Sr. Product Manager – Responsibilities

The Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for the strategic development and management of one or more of the organization’s categories. This role oversees the overall success of the P&L for the category and focuses the market presence of the product line. The product manager will prioritize the product line, understand market segmentation, and provide strategic direction. This individual will collaborate with other product managers to lead the HVAC Division portfolio for SUPCO and work cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing to drive effective launch strategies and market penetration.

The role also requires collaboration with engineering, finance, operations, and technical services to define new products to capture market share and consumer awareness.

Job Duties
  • Own and drive NPD activities including ideation, scope, costing, price positioning, channel strategy, go-to-market readiness, and execution, while collaborating with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Sales
  • Lead strategic product planning, roadmaps, and a business plan that supports category growth
  • Identify key market segments and verticals for additional revenue opportunities and market share gains
  • Gather VoC intelligence related to current and potential product offerings
  • Conduct extensive market research and competitive analysis to determine emerging trends and feature gaps
  • Assist in packaging and technical document development
  • Create and/or collaborate on product content for training sessions with internal and external customers
  • Exhibit positive energy and act as a change agent in the organization
  • Oversee/review annual sales forecast and existing product category inventory as it relates to turns and forecast; provide recommendations for optimal inventory health
  • Implement and report on key measures of product success to inform product development efforts
  • Know and explain product features/benefits, understand the full product line, customer operations and needs, respond to the competition, and apply market knowledge
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, or General Business
  • A minimum of 5-7 years in Product Management, Marketing, Sales, or Engineering
  • Prior Project Management experience is a plus
  • Prior experience in HVAC, Durable Goods, Building Products, or Construction Industry is strongly preferred
  • Experience managing multiple full lifecycle product launches from ideation through commercial release and end-of-life
