About the Role
As a CBRE Payroll Sr. Associate, you’ll conduct payroll operations and assist with special or exception items for salaried, hourly, union, or commissioned employees.
What You'll Do- Process payroll for multiple groups and business lines. This includes routine payroll, on-cycle, off-cycle, commission, and bonus items.
- Complete accurate and timely maintenance and auditing of master files, payroll-related transactions, payroll processing, and delivery.
- Coordinate the completion of incoming paperwork or documentation such as status changes, garnishments, or employee/field-initiated requests.
- Process special or exception items including reversals, voids, deductions, and quarterly/year-end payroll items.
- Review audit reports and correct all over payments and recoveries.
- Oversee the process required to fund payroll-related deductions.
- Test updates for payroll processing as related to assigned payrolls.
- Process requests for union audits and provide data to team members.
- Prepare logs and mail checks for large deposits to the Treasury team.
- Review and provide information to HRIS to update all Collective Bargaining Agreements for Union employees to avoid delays in rate changes.
- Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.
- May establish new techniques to ensure the team is able to meet its objectives.
- Have a direct impact on the team objectives as well as the objectives of related teams.
- Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customer objectives.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Guide team through the application of basic knowledge of practices and procedures. Work to build consensus.
- High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of job-related experience. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
- In-depth understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function and basic knowledge of related job functions required.
- The ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mindset.
- Exceptional math skills. Ability to calculate sophisticated figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
- ADP system knowledge required. Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications and other third party tax research tools.
- Knowledge of payroll processes including pay calculations, tax geographical location (state, territory, etc.) taxation rules, etc.
