Insight Global is seeking a finance-savvy professional to bridge the gap between financial strategy and engineering operations. This role is ideal for someone who can connect the dots across finance, engineering, and vendor strategy—and clearly communicate those connections to senior leadership. You’ll play a key role in validating strategic decisions, tracking ROI, and ensuring our investments in technology and vendors are aligned with long-term business goals.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Financial Insight & Leadership Communication- Track engineering activity and assess alignment with long-term efficiency and business goals.
- Evaluate ROI of engineering initiatives and communicate impact to senior leadership.
- Partner with engineering domain leaders and finance stakeholders to articulate and refine strategic priorities.
- Develop executive-level materials that connect financial forecasts, engineering efforts, and strategic outcomes.
- Build a clear understanding of engineering spend across teams, tools, and vendors.
- Support budget planning and forecasting with a focus on long-term value creation.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and improved resource allocation.
- Collaborate with engineering domain leaders who own vendor relationships to track performance, cost, and strategic fit.
- Evaluate vendor effectiveness and tie investments back to total ROI.
- Monitor vendor SLAs and validate their relevance and impact over time.
- Provide financial justification for vendor decisions and track outcomes to ensure alignment with forecasts.
- Track and validate strategic decisions—such as cloud migrations—by monitoring projected vs. actual savings over time.
- Articulate the financial rationale behind major decisions and build proof points that demonstrate realized value.
- Ensure ongoing alignment between financial forecasts and operational execution.
- Create clear, compelling reports in Excel to support financial and strategic reviews.
- Build executive-ready presentations that communicate priorities, progress, and validated outcomes.
- Translate complex financial and technical information into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Preferred)
- 5+ years experience working in a strategic financial reporting role
- Experience in highly-matrixed, enterprise-level organizations
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI or Tableau)
- Willing and able to work onsite in Richardson
$65/hr to $80/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
