Manager, EH&S Generalist position at RTX located at the Cityline facility in Richardson, TX. The role focuses on managing occupational health and environmental programs across four nearby sites.
Responsibilities- Manage and continuously improve Federal, State, and Local EH&S compliance programs and risk reduction initiatives such as JHAs, qualitative risk assessments, incident reporting, and contractor oversight.
- Oversee solid and hazardous waste management, wastewater, stormwater, and air emissions programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Partner with site EH&S professionals to exceed core requirements and implement process‑focused improvements.
- Prepare and submit deliverable reports, support regulator interactions, and conduct EH&S inspections to maintain audit readiness.
- Review first‑aid and OSHA injury investigations, perform root cause analyses, develop corrective actions, and track completion.
- Support the implementation of refrigerant and air‑management programs and sustainability initiatives.
- Develop and deliver EH&S training for employees and contractors and update the site communications plan.
- Assist with emergency drills and participate in Haz Mat and medical emergency response.
- Travel locally by car weekly to support enterprise and business initiatives.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of experience.
- Team and project leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of State and Federal environmental compliance rules (e.g., TCEQ, EPA, OSHA).
- Ability to plan, organize, delegate, and follow up on workflow in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with databases and information‑gathering systems.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to influence engineers, line employees, and senior management.
Salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Additional incentive programs are available for eligible positions as per company policy.
