Supervisor, Construction

Manage construction/colocation process to produce quality sites to customer specifications within the specified timeframe and budget while planning, coordinating, and managing multiple projects and supervising field employees and subcontractors.

Primary Responsibilities
  • In conjunction with Territory Management, plan, schedule, prioritize, and organize material deliveries, equipment, manpower, and subcontractors to ensure project efficiency.
  • Inspect job sites daily to confirm construction is performed per plans, specifications, and SBA quality standards; implement corrective action promptly.
  • Maintain and enforce SBA and OSHA safety practices, conduct daily safety inspections, and cease work immediately on unsafe sites.
  • Lead weekly job site safety meetings with all personnel, report meeting topics and attendance to the safety representative.
  • Inspect subcontractor work daily to ensure it meets design criteria and quality standards; notify Territory Management of any unavoidable schedule, quality, or budget issues.
  • Perform final inspections on completed work and secure correction of deficiencies before subcontractor demobilization.
  • Interface with client representatives on site to resolve issues, schedule equipment deliveries, and ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain open communication with field personnel, address concerns, and convey needs to appropriate office staff.
  • Confirm hours worked and describe work performed for employees in coordination with Territory Management.
  • Authorize daily status reports for managers and customer representatives as required.
  • Conduct bid walks and submit documentation to Territory Management.
  • Coordinate delivery of concrete, stone, towers, buildings, and related materials with vendors and Territory Management.
  • Participate in pre‑construction walks with client and vendors to confirm site layout, staking, setbacks, tower orientation, and utility marking.
  • Develop and build a subcontractor base; ensure all necessary building permits, NTPs, and lease approvals are obtained before construction.
  • Perform other related duties as required to ensure a safe workplace, quality construction, and timely completion of projects.
  • Address any vehicle accidents or workplace injuries by reporting immediately to the company safety representative.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ a diverse, high‑performing team.
  • Provide oversight and direction in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members, including onboarding new hires and facilitating career development planning.
  • Empower team members to take ownership of their jobs and goals.
  • Delegate responsibilities as needed and deliver constructive performance feedback.
  • Create a culture aligned with the organization’s focus on employee engagement, mission, vision, and values.
  • Lead performance management and development, aiding goal setting, two‑way feedback, and performance development planning.
  • Ensure team members meet organizational expectations for productivity, quality, and goal achievement.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED in a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of construction or equipment installation experience; wireless telecommunications experience preferred.
  • Domestic travel required.
  • Valid government‑issued driver’s license.
  • OSHA 10‑hour Safety Course.
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
  • First Aid certification (Adult) preferred.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) preferred.
