Position Overview:As a Faculty Development Specialist at Galen College of Nursing, you will be responsible for enhancing teaching effectiveness using a scholarly and supportive approach to develop educators at Galen College of Nursing. This position plays a vital role in providing local and institutional faculty development support.
Key Responsibilities:- Education: Master’s degree in Education, Nursing Education, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-2 years of full‑time teaching experience; demonstrated experience in faculty mentoring, coaching, or professional development. Must exhibit flexibility, initiative, and strong interpersonal skills. Experience with Canvas or similar learning management systems required. - Degree of Supervision:
Minimal
- Strong knowledge of effective teaching practices across modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide meaningful instructional feedback
- Organizational and analytical abilities
- Comfort with educational technology and willingness to learn new tools
- Presence on campus required to support faculty development efforts locally
