Description/NotesTo provide effective leadership and management for both elementary and secondary schools. The selected candidate must possess strong organizational, pedagogical, and interpersonal skills to guide campus and central administrators in a collaborative and coordinated effort. This role focuses on supporting individual campuses to successfully implement district-wide initiatives, strengthen instructional planning and delivery, enhance leadership capacity, and ensure efficient school operations.

- Model effective leadership and build leadership among assistant principals and principals
- Support principals in implementing district initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a cohesive PreK-12 instructional model
- Demonstrate strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to balance the needs of central administration, campus staff, students, parents, and the community
- Provide effective coaching and mentoring to campus leaders
- Foster trust, professionalism, and respect among colleagues
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills and maintain a positive public presence
- Communicate effectively with board members, administrators, teachers, students, parents, and community members
- Lead the planning, development, implementation, and supervision of high-quality, research-based instructional programs
- Work effectively as a collaborative team member
- Maintain the vision and determination to establish, support, and uphold high standards for professional growth and instructional leadership
- Use data to guide decision-making, generate solutions, and implement improvement efforts
- Analyze student performance data and oversee improvement and enrichment plans to support growth for all campuses
- Articulate and support the district's vision for academic, curricular, extracurricular, and campus culture initiatives and systems
- Monitor benchmark data such as discipline, attendance, and academic performance to identify trends and share effective practices
- Maintain visibility and accessibility through frequent visits to assigned campuses
- Ensure effective implementation of district curriculum aligned with established standards
- Oversee elementary and secondary instructional programs, including core content, intervention, and assessment
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous student improvement aligned with district priorities
- Monitor campus scheduling to ensure compliance with district policies
- Support high schools in planning, coordinating rehearsals and executing graduation ceremonies
- Report instructional outcomes to the Superintendent's Cabinet and support continuous improvement across campuses
- Implement relevant components of the District Improvement Plan
- Collaborate with the Teaching and Learning Department on short- and long-term plans for instructional programs
- Develop and implement quality methods for instructional improvement
- Partner with other assistant superintendents to address cross-divisional challenges
- Monitor the effective use of district funds to support instructional outcomes
Collaborate with Student Services on school wide discipline and education programs - Prepare reports for the Superintendent and Board of Trustees
- Represent the district at school, district, and community events
- Support leadership development for aspiring campus administrators
- Provide input to the Superintendent on the selection and assignment of campus administrators
- Implement the Texas Principal Evaluation and Support System {TPESS)
- Support principals in implementing the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System {TTESS)
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent of School Leadership
- Minimum of a master’s degree in education required
- Valid Texas Mid-Management, principal or superintendent certification preferred
- Significant experience as an elementary and/or secondary campus principal
- Exhibit evidence of success in maximizing student performance, leadership, and operational effectiveness
