Job Summary

Position Description

The Department of Psychology in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences (BBS) at the University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure system faculty position to serve as Director of the Psychological Services and Education Center (PSEC). Appointment will be made at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The PSEC is being established in conjunction with UT Dallas' new doctoral concentration in Clinical Psychological Science, which is accredited by the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS) and is the first program in the nation to receive approval under PCSAS's process for newly established programs. The PSEC will function as the primary internal practicum site for doctoral training and as an infrastructure supporting clinical research, specialty clinics, and evidence-based service delivery.

The position is designed to attract candidates across career stages. Expectations will be calibrated to rank, with appropriate institutional support for candidates earlier in their careers. The preferred start date is August 1, 2026; a later start date is possible.

Primary Responsibilities

* Provide overall leadership and administrative oversight of the PSEC, including clinic operations, policies, scheduling, and infrastructure development

* Supervise and support licensed clinicians, supervisors, staff, and trainees within a clinical science training model

* Collaborate with faculty directors of specialty clinics to ensure alignment with evidence-based practice and research integration

* Oversee clinic budgeting, billing structures, and fiscal planning in coordination with departmental and school leadership

* Ensure compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and applicable university and regulatory requirements

* Contribute to clinical training through supervision and teaching consistent with expertise

* Participate in program development activities related to the clinical psychological science doctoral concentration

Rank-Appropriate Expectations

* Clinical Assistant Professor:
Demonstrated readiness to assume clinical leadership responsibilities, strong grounding in evidence-based assessment and intervention, and potential for growth in administrative leadership, supervision, and program development

* Clinical Associate Professor / Clinical Professor:
Demonstrated record of clinical leadership, supervision, program administration, and sustained contributions to training and service delivery

Required Qualifications

* Doctoral degree (PhD) or equivalent in Psychology from a PCSAS-accredited doctoral program OR an APA-accredited doctoral program in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a Combined Clinical/Counseling program.

* Completion of an APA-accredited predoctoral internship.

Not Eligible

* Applicants whose doctoral training is in School Psychology or other non-clinical-science professional psychology models.
