Job Summary

The Naveen Jindal School of Management (JSOM) at UT Dallas is seeking a motivated professional to serve as the Director of Undergraduate Recruitment. In this role, you will manage staff and lead initiatives that advance the school’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities. The position is well‑suited for someone who communicates effectively and enjoys working collaboratively with deans, faculty, administrators, students, and external partners.

The Director will oversee undergraduate recruiting and onboarding services and play a central role in supporting the school’s enrollment goals. Working closely with the Dean of Undergraduate Programs, this position contributes to a focused, data‑driven effort to increase incoming freshman and transfer student enrollment. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the student experience.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related progressive experience.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in business, education, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Five or more years of progressive administrative leadership experience in student recruitment, admissions, and onboarding.
Other Qualifications

To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Recruitment (45%)
  • Develop and execute an aggressive, actionable recruitment strategy targeting first‑time‑in‑college and transfer students.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with community colleges to strengthen enrollment pipelines and enhance student engagement.
  • Oversee all recruitment activities, including community college visits, high school presentations, and on‑campus events.
  • Track and manage prospective students’ applications, prepare tailored presentations for recruitment events, and provide weekly trend and progress reports to the undergraduate dean.
  • Meet with prospective students and families—virtually and in person—to address questions and provide guidance.
  • Implement best practices to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of recruitment operations.
Onboarding and Orientation (45%)
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all onboarding activities, including welcome materials, open houses, campus tours, presentations, schedules, student communications, and orientation sessions.
  • Provide comprehensive advising to prospective and admitted students regarding admission requirements, course registration, academic programs, and financial aid.
  • Collaborate closely with campus partners—including advising offices, program directors, business communication staff, living‑learning communities, and special‑interest groups—to ensure all incoming students are successfully registered for courses.
  • Adhere to university policies to ensure compliance across all onboarding and orientation processes.
Other Duties (10%)
  • Support additional initiatives and activities assigned by the dean’s office to design, enhance, and manage undergraduate programs and services.
