Job Summary
The Jindal School of Management (JSOM) at the University of Texas at Dallas invites applications for a dynamic, skilled, forward‑thinking Program Director for its Bachelor of Science in Marketing program. This is an opportunity to shape and lead a high‑impact, innovative academic program within a top‑tier business school.
Responsibilities- Managing the student experience from admission to placement.
- Ensuring program quality and adherence to internal academic policies.
- Leading academic initiatives that align with JSOM’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities.
- Driving enrollment and program rankings through campaigns and student services.
- Building industry connections and cultivating partnerships with employers and organizations.
- Develop innovative recruiting and orientation plans.
- Track student admissions and create yield strategies.
- Attend prospective student events and student orientations.
- Conduct competitive market analysis and enhance program offerings.
- Manage AACSB assessments, exit surveys, and related reports.
- Oversee curriculum in consultation with faculty, identify gaps, enhance courses, add new courses, and update academic catalogs.
- Collaborate with the Area Coordinator to manage course scheduling.
- Recruit and interview adjunct faculty.
- Manage program‑related conferences, Industry Advisory Board, and case competitions.
- Develop and maintain social media presence, marketing brochures, orientation materials and web content.
- Develop alumni engagement programs such as guest lectures, panel discussions, mentoring, resume reviews and social events.
- Advise students from entry to exit, covering admissions, scholarships, visa inquiries, program planning, mentoring, course selection, prerequisites, grade grievances, appeals, instructor concerns, internships, careers, and job placement.
- Collaborate with the Advising Office to resolve student issues.
- Conduct regular town‑hall or info sessions with students.
- Measure, track and provide program reports on admission, retention, job placements, internships and industry engagement.
- Manage student organizations and program ambassadors.
- Plan and implement mentoring programs, including faculty, peer and industry mentoring.
- Provide assistance to the department and the Dean’s office with design and management of program‑related initiatives and projects.

Minimum Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree; five years experience in a related field of expertise, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
PreferredEducation and Experience
- Graduate degree in a related field (e.g., MS Marketing) or in higher education (e.g., Ed.D, Ph.D.).
- Seven or more years of managerial experience in academic or professional settings, ideally in marketing.
To the extent this position requires research, work on, or access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the holder must maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure.
