The Berkner High School Band Learning Community is searching for a BASSOON private instructor to take on students from 6th through 12th grades for the 26-27 school year. This job would potentially involve teaching 6+ students. Berkner is in Richardson ISD and the cluster includes two junior high schools. The Berkner HS, Liberty JH, and Apollo JH bands all have a long tradition of excellence.
BerknerBand private teacher profile:
- Excellent musician
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills when interacting with parents, students, and band staff
- Ability to manage a busy calendar and keep a consistent weekly schedule
- Willingness to collaborate on establishing pedagogical practices for a complete spectrum of students
- Knowledge of a wide variety of solo literature
- Understanding of the TMEA All-Region and All-State process
- Interest in participating in and nurturing a section culture within the studio
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
