Location:
Richardson, TX (RTP, North Carolina) – role is confidential and requires close proximity to Texas and North Carolina sites.
We are seeking an expert Infrastructure Automation Engineer to execute critical projects focused on automating and scaling our core data infrastructure platforms (Kafka, Cassandra, RDS, Postgres, Elasticache) primarily within the AWS cloud environment. This high‑impact, hands‑on role requires deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Python, and advanced CI/CD practices.
Compliance & Security Requirements- US Citizenship – must be a US Citizen with required documentation.
- FedRAMP Access – must satisfy requirements for accessing FedRAMP‑authorized environments and secure data platforms.
- AWS IaC Project Completion – implement and manage complex cloud infrastructure projects using Terraform and Ansible for provisioning and configuration management of AWS resources (e.g., EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, Elasticache).
- End‑to‑End Automation Delivery – design, develop, and implement robust automation using Python to manage, operate, and troubleshoot infrastructure and applications across critical platforms in AWS.
- CI/CD Pipeline Development – build and optimize advanced CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins to automate infrastructure deployment, continuous testing, and incident management workflows.
- Platform Scaling & Reliability – deliver solutions to enhance the availability, performance, and stability of critical distributed systems, translating complex architectural plans into scalable, automated deployments within the AWS cloud footprint.
- AWS API & SDK Integration – leverage expertise in Python SDKs (Boto3) and IaC frameworks to integrate seamlessly with various AWS services for deployment and management tasks.
- Security & Compliance Integration – implement cloud‑based solutions strictly aligned with FedRAMP security and compliance standards.
- Documentation & Knowledge Transfer – provide clear, comprehensive documentation and conduct knowledge transfer for all deployed automation scripts and IaC modules upon project completion.
- Deep, hands‑on experience with Terraform for resource provisioning and Ansible for configuration management.
- Extensive, hands‑on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Expert proficiency in Python for infrastructure scripting and API integration (e.g., Boto3).
- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines, specifically with Jenkins.
- Practical experience automating operations for distributed data platforms (Kafka, Cassandra, RDS, Elasticache).
- Proven ability to execute, deliver, and document complex technical projects autonomously.
- Infrastructure as Code – Terraform, Ansible.
- Cloud Expertise – Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Automation – Python scripting, Boto
