- Define and govern system-level architecture across controls and mechanical domains
- Lead automation system design including PLCs, robotics, and material handling
- Manage engineering scope, schedules, and design reviews
- Oversee PLC/HMI/SCADA architecture and industrial networking
- Guide mechanical system design for throughput, safety, and maintainability
- Lead commissioning, validation, and system ramp‑up
- Manage vendors, integrators, and technical stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
- Experience with ASRS systems and warehouse automation
- Knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 13849, IEC 61508)
- Strong systems‑thinking and problem‑solving capability
- Ability to lead cross‑functional engineering teams
- Effective communication with technical and executive stakeholders
- High ownership and execution mindset
- Project delivery performance (cost, schedule, scope)
- System throughput, uptime, and OEE
- Engineering quality and defect reduction
- Cycle time and productivity improvements
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- 10–15+ years in industrial automation or manufacturing systems
- Experience in similar job roles
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
