Hardware Emulation Architect – HBM Architecture Team

Micron Technology is seeking a Hardware Emulation Architect to architect, enable, and deploy hardware emulation capabilities for next‑generation HBM products. The role collaborates with design, firmware, and system teams to determine emulation needs and opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain hardware emulation environments for complex SoCs and subsystems.
  • Compile, configure, and debug large‑scale RTL designs on emulation platforms such as Palladium, Veloce, and Zebu.
  • Support pre‑silicon validation, firmware bring‑up, and early software development using emulation.
  • Debug functional, performance, and connectivity issues across RTL, firmware, and system layers.
  • Work closely with design, verification, firmware, and architecture teams to enable rapid debug and issue resolution.
  • Create emulation test benches, transactors, and models for system‑level use cases.
  • Enable hybrid validation flows (simulation + emulation + FPGA prototyping as needed).
  • Provide hands‑on support during key project milestones (tapeout, bring‑up, customer enablement).
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant engineering or design engineering experience.
  • Strong experience with RTL design and debugging.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands‑on experience with hardware emulation platforms.
  • Solid understanding of SoC architecture, interconnects, and IP integration.
  • Experience debugging full‑chip or subsystem‑level designs.
  • Familiarity with firmware or low‑level software interaction with hardware.
