DRAM Design Engineer

Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze digital and analog circuits used in the development of memory products.
  • Simulate, optimize, and floorplan DRAM circuits using Spice, Verilog, and other simulation tools.
  • Implement device specifications and create innovative circuit solutions.
  • Create floor plans that optimize circuit placement, signal routing, and power delivery.
  • Design memory core circuits and optimize for sense margins, array timings, and die size.
  • Prepare design documentation for use by other engineers.
  • Use Spice and Verilog to simulate and verify proper circuit operation.
  • Analyze circuits for power consumption, speed performance, and reliability.
  • Model layout parasitics in the simulation and verify proper signal routing and power supply connections.
  • Assist in silicon design validation and debugging, analyzing simulation‑to‑silicon correlation and identifying schematic edits for design revisions.
  • Perform semiconductor design engineering assignments, including chip layout design, circuit checking, documentation of specifications, and evaluation of semiconductor devices and components.
  • Review product requirements and logic diagrams for device definition.
  • Lead projects or portions of projects to design, fabricate, modify, and evaluate semiconductor devices and components.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with digital design, including combinational logic and finite state machines.
  • Experience with VLSI design, including CMOS physical design and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with analog circuit design.
  • Experience with Hspice or Verilog‑based simulation, including timing analysis, functional analysis, and simulation debugging.
  • Proficiency in computer‑aided design schematic capture.
