Our client is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to support advanced semiconductor test systems for Analog, Power Management, Automotive, and mixed-signal IC applications
.
This role combines hands-on test development, customer-facing technical support, project management, and solution delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong IC test experience, the ability to design and implement hardware/software test solutions, and the technical leadership skills needed to support customers through both pre- and post-sales engagements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement test applications for semiconductor test platforms, with a focus on Analog, Power Management, Automotive, and mixed-signal ICs.
- Provide technical support throughout the pre- and post-sales lifecycle, including product demonstrations, benchmarking, competitive analysis, solution deployment, and production support.
- Design, validate, and optimize complete hardware and software test solutions, including load boards, test programs, program conversions, test time improvements, and high-volume production readiness.
- Lead technical scoping, project planning, resource coordination, and solution delivery to ensure customer requirements, timelines, and quality expectations are met.
- Partner with customers, R&D, field engineering, and global technical teams to provide training, share technical insights, communicate customer needs, and drive successful long-term adoption.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in IC test development, semiconductor application engineering, or a related technical role.
- Strong understanding of analog circuits, including amplifiers, filters, analog/power test techniques, scan, trimming, and mixed-signal test methods.
- Programming experience in Java, C, and/or C++.
- Familiarity with test quality metrics and statistical data analysis tools, including CP, CPK, and related methods.
- Strong project management, communication, customer-facing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proactive, self-disciplined, highly motivated, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with semiconductor tester programming.
- Experience with load board design, including schematics, placement, and layout.
- Understanding of VLSI concepts and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
