Senior Test Engineer

Jabil is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to work in our Richardson, TX location. This position is for 1st shift working Monday-Friday.

What will you do?

* Develops automated test hardware and programs to improve current test methods and test yields.

* Works closely with design engineers on new products to ensure testability of PCBs and systems in a demand flow manufacturing environment.

* Participates in cost reduction programs in Manufacturing, and continuous improvement of test methods and yields.

* Determines optimal test methods and justifies the purchase of capital equipment, software and services for development of testing systems.

* May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

How will you get here?

Education & Experience:

* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering or other similar disciplines is required.

* At least 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing test environment OR similar combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

* Strong Communication Skills, both verbal and written.

* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, internal customers and the general public.

* Experience in PCBA manufacturing and testing.

* Experience or knowledge with Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and/or Automated X-Ray Inspection (AXI) or other similar background is strongly preferred.

* Experience or knowledge with In Circuit Testing (ICT) or functional testing is strongly preferred.
