Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer

Jabil is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to work in our Richardson, TX location. This position is for 1st shift working Monday-Friday.

• Develops automated test hardware and programs to improve current test methods and test yields.
• Works closely with design engineers on new products to ensure testability of PCBs and systems in a demand flow manufacturing environment.
• Participates in cost reduction programs in Manufacturing, and continuous improvement of test methods and yields.
• Determines optimal test methods and justifies the purchase of capital equipment, software and services for development of testing systems.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation Engineering or other similar disciplines is required.
• At least 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing test environment OR similar combination of education and experience.

• Strong Communication Skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, internal customers and the general public.
• Experience in PCBA manufacturing and testing.
• Experience or knowledge with Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and/or Automated X-Ray Inspection (AXI) or other similar background is strongly preferred.
• Experience or knowledge with In Circuit Testing (ICT) or functional testing is strongly preferred.
