Overview

Our Product Safety team helps civilian, military and government customers complete their most complex missions. As a Senior Reliability & Maintainability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers succeed today while anticipating their needs for tomorrow.

Responsibilities
  • Support program development through the application of reliability and maintainability techniques.
  • Participate in all phases of the program life cycle, utilizing reliability and maintainability methodologies in accordance with military standards such as MIL‑HDBK‑217, MIL‑HDBK‑338B, MIL‑HDBK‑470, MIL‑STD‑1629A.
  • Provide support to reliability and maintainability modeling and predictions analysis, testability analysis, maintainability and built‑in‑test demonstrations, environmental testing, FMEA/FMECA, and FRACAS.
  • Provide input to the development of Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Reliability & Maintainability analysis and predictions, Reliability Critical Items List, and Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).
  • Serve as a Reliability & Maintainability representative to engineering and business leadership.
Qualifications
  • Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance required prior to start date with the ability to obtain Top Secret after start.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • 2 years of experience with systems engineering lifecycle, applying reliability and maintainability techniques to systems requirements.
  • 1 year of demonstrated experience supporting design and development teams to develop, assess, and verify Reliability & Maintainability related requirements for mission‑critical systems.
  • 3 years of experience conducting/developing Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Reliability & Maintainability analysis and predictions, Reliability Critical Items List, FRACAS, Built‑in‑Test (BIT) design/verification analysis, and/or testability analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of systems architectures and designs.
  • Basic circuit analysis skills and ability to perform detailed analyses on complex systems.
  • Understanding of military aircraft‑related missions, functional operation, performance specifications, and validation techniques.
  • Experience planning and conducting Accelerated Stress Testing or related techniques such as HALT, RET, ESS, HASS.
  • Experience using industry‑recognised tools such as Relyence, Reliasoft, Windchill, or eXpress.
  • Familiarity with agile development and model‑based systems engineering (MBSE).
  • Strong presentation, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in technical proposal preparation related to Reliability & Maintainability.
