** first line manager
** to join the  
** Systems Engineering
** team supporting the  
** Special Projects Training Systems
** team.

The selected candidate will join a team of multi-functional engineers and analysts supporting training systems working all phases of the program lifecycle.

** Position Responsibilities** :

+ Lead a team of 15-20 multi-skilled engineers working systems engineering and hardware efforts related to training systems programs

+ Report to the senior Systems Engineering manager to ensure seamless cross-program functional support is provided for all aspects of the Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT) function

+ Interface with program managers and other engineering functions to ensure program objectives are met, to include taking responsibility for various control accounts and Earned Value Management (EVM) duties

+ Remove road blocks for the team, provide higher level and external support, coordinate with customers and suppliers in pursuit of program contractual requirements and objectives, etc.

+ Support team members by prioritizing career development, employee engagement, and performance management

+ The technical scope of the teams include:

+ Integration and test activities in support of training systems products, to include local laboratory development, defect correction, and remote system deliveries and installations

+ Hardware design for cabin equipment, training systems and sustainment efforts across all phases of the product lifecycle

+ Systems engineering for design, requirements, and analysis of training systems programs.

** This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).**  (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

** Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):*
* + Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

+ Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."

+ 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, integration & test engineering, hardware engineering, or a related function

+ 2+ years Earned Value Management (EVM) experience

+ Current DOD Top Secret clearance (active within the past 24 months)

** Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):*
* + 3+ years leading engineering teams in a lead or manager role

+ Exposure to multiple phases of the Systems Engineering lifecycle, such as design, development, lab test, flight test, production, sustainment, etc.

+ Advanced degrees (MS or MBA)

+ Experience in a role requiring strategic planning (project/program management)

+ Engineering management experience.
