Engineering Manager – Job Overview
The Engineering Manager at Applied Concepts is responsible for the planning and implementation of the product development process for the creation of electronic products using RADAR, LIDAR and traffic calming technologies. This includes managing the resources, equipment, defining goals, setting priorities, and ensuring the methods used are adequate for the development objectives. The position requires knowledge of working with the manufacturing of electronic products and the ability to work directly with manufacturing organizations to resolve manufacturing issues.
Continuous improvement of the development process to maintain a competitive organization is also required.

We are looking for someone that enjoys taking products from concept to customer satisfaction.
Compensation: The annual salary is $130,000–$155,000. Benefits include medical, dental, and life insurance, generous paid time off, and a flexible vacation policy.

- Define project timelines, milestones, and sprints.
- Develop and implement engineering policies, standards, and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance to engineering teams and executive leadership to drive product delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop, mentor, and coach staff as needed.
- Monitor system and equipment reliability and performance; recommend improvements.
- Evaluate and define current and future product lines by reviewing specifications, requirements, and new product or packaging ideas.
- Collect, manage, and maintain traceability of stakeholder requirements across product releases.
- Present project plans and implement strategies to improve cost efficiency.
- Define high-level requirements and design strategies aligned with company objectives and resources.
- Collaborate with management, production, and marketing to determine project requirements and procedures.
- Proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams involving electronics design, mechanical engineering, and software development.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities on an ongoing basis.
- Strong communication, motivational, and negotiation skills, especially when leading a team.
- Proven ability to create and manage processes along with a good understanding of agile methodologies.
- Leadership abilities with a strategic mindset.
- Excellent project management skills, including strong attention to detail and resource management.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or another technical field, with 8+ years of experience in engineering.
- 3+ years of experience successfully managing people.
