Mechanical Engineer II

Job Type: Full-time, on-site (Richardson, TX)

Responsibilities
  • Reports to VP of Engineering, Program Manager, and Senior Technical Account Manager
  • Product development using CREO covering the full portfolio of ACD’s products and services to achieve revenue targets
  • Designing parts and assemblies
  • Creating drawings to document part and assembly design
  • Validating part and assembly design
  • Top-Down design methodology
  • Use Interference Check to validate the fit of parts and assemblies
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of job-related experience
  • Knowledgeable of electronic manufacturing methods, quality, and workmanship standards
  • CREO design skills
  • Solid Works training
  • ACE Associate/Six Sigma certification
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, & Access)
  • Experience in consulting CATIA and ENOVIA drawings
Desired Qualities
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to direct and supervise personnel
  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing processes, methods integration, and final line assembly
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Possess strong analytical skills and proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings
  • Previous experience as a Methods Agent in the aerospace industry
  • Instrumentation and production build plans
  • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Flexibility regarding work-related travel
  • Working knowledge of ISO/AS standards, military specifications, and FAA commercial regulations
  • Team player and motivational skills
