Overview
Collins Aerospace Engineering & Technology is hiring a Sr. Engineering Manager - Design Quality. This onsite role is in Richardson, TX. Requires the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required. Relocation assistance is available.
What You Will Do- Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement strategic plans, guidelines, and policies to achieve quality targets and drive continuous improvement initiatives. - Quality Management:
Direct the development and implementation of organization-wide projects and processes to enhance overall product quality and reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes. - Data-Driven Insights:
Oversee the collection and analysis of quality data from various sources to develop long-term quality strategies and programs. - Process Improvement:
Lead process analyses to ensure compliance with quality standards, making recommendations for enhancements as needed. - Talent Development:
Develop and mentor team members, establishing a strong talent pipeline to support current and future business needs. - Collaborative Partnerships:
Foster collaborative relationships with functional and business leaders to promote a transformative quality organization aligned with business objectives. - Travel 25%
Involvement in ensuring the quality of our exciting products.
Qualifications- Must Have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 7 years of experience. U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance access.
- Experience with non-recurring or design and development engineering, including Systems and Software Engineering.
- Experience leading a team in a professional environment.
- Experience in Quality Management Systems and regulatory requirements (e.g., AS9100, AS9145, DO-178, etc.).
- Experience in Continuous Process Improvement methods, Lean Six Sigma, or ASQ certifications.
- Experience in engineering practices.
