Qorvo's mm-wave/RF System & Design Engineering Interns are offered in our High Performance Analog business group, System & Research team. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.
Job Summary:
Assist with design and characterization of advanced RF and mm-wave System in Package
Responsibilities include 3D modeling, electromagnetic and thermal analysis, schematic generation and simulation. Additional tasks may include Lab measurements, data collection and reports generation. Work as a member of a team to contribute design schematics, simulations, and real lab data. Work with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters to compare simulated data to real lab data.
Qualifications:
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering. Familiarity with Si and III/V technologies, RFIC and MMIC design and advance packaging fundamentals. Student must have completed some RF or Microwave design course work. Exposure to RF measurement equipment such as, spectrum analyzers and network analyzers preferred. Software Exposure:
Keysight ADS and EMPro, Ansys HFSS and Workbench, Cadence. Minimum GPA of 3.0. Strong collaboration skills. Self-Starter with good communication skills. Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling. Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information. Detail oriented to ensure design and delivery of high yielding products. Be able to enjoy working in fast paced work environment.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the Company. Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience: $31/hr - $42/hr (subject to change dependent on physical location). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability.
