Corporate Controller

Our client is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead accounting operations for a large, multi-entity organization with over 100 locations nationwide. This individual will oversee consolidated financial reporting, monthly close, tax compliance, acquisition integration activities, internal controls, and a large accounting organization while partnering closely with executive leadership to support continued growth through acquisitions.

• Lead and develop a team of approximately 65 accounting professionals across corporate accounting and shared services functions.
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements across approximately 100 operating entities.
• Manage intercompany accounting, eliminations, reconciliations, and consolidation activities under US GAAP.
• Deliver operational reporting, financial analysis, and KPI reporting to executive leadership.
• Oversee federal, state, local, sales, and use tax compliance activities while coordinating with external tax advisors.
• Support acquisition due diligence, purchase accounting, and post-acquisition accounting integrations.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls across the organization.
• Partner with FP&A, treasury, operations, and executive leadership on financial strategy and business initiatives.
• Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and accounting operational efficiencies.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required;
  Master's degree and/or MBA preferred.
• CPA required.
• Strong accounting and finance experience, including prior experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role.
• Experience leading accounting teams within large multi-entity, multi-location organizations.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, consolidations, intercompany accounting, and ASC 805 business combination accounting.
• Experience supporting acquisitions, purchase accounting, and accounting integrations.
• Experience overseeing federal, state, local, sales, and use tax compliance.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, financial reporting platforms, and consolidation tools.
• Strong Excel and Power BI skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Highly preferred experience within automotive, RV, powersports, dealership, retail, franchise, or other multi-location operating environments.
• Experience with dealership accounting concepts such as floor plan financing, rebates, F&I operations, chargebacks, vehicle titling, service, and parts accounting preferred.
