GEICO is seeking a Sanctions Compliance Analyst to help strengthen and advance the company's sanctions compliance program. This role supports end-to-end sanctions screening, reporting, and issue resolution, while helping ensure GEICO's processes, procedures, systems, and communications align with applicable state and federal requirements. The Analyst will also identify opportunities to enhance controls, improve compliance practices, and support the company's broader sanctions risk management efforts.
Essential Functions:
* Reviews new, revised, and pending sanctions notices, determines their applicability to GEICO, and recommends changes needed to support compliance.
* Evaluates processes, procedures, systems, and communications to identify compliance gaps and recommends enhancements to strengthen sanctions controls.
* Presents investigative findings, risk insights, and recommendations to management.
* Implements and monitors changes to processes, procedures, sanctions screening systems, and communications, and re-evaluates outcomes to confirm risks have been mitigated.
* Advises on the sanctions compliance implications of proposed processes, procedures, and business activities.
* Supports communications and interactions with OFAC and other regulatory stakeholders, as needed.
* Researches federal laws and regulatory developments to identify relevant compliance issues and communicates key impacts to senior leadership.
* Prepares and delivers executive-level sanctions briefings.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
* Ability to work effectively under tight timelines.
* Ability to work across the compliance organization and collaborate with business stakeholders throughout the company.
Location:
HYBRID - The individual must work onsite 3 days per week from their designated location.
Annual Salary
$64,575.00 - $
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
