Job Summary

Assist, analyze and report statistical, financial and management information and assist with preparation of related reports and financial statements.

Essential Functions
  • Perform account reconciliations with supporting worksheets within established time frames, resolve variances and prevent reoccurrence with scope of authority.
  • Maintain general ledger and sub ledgers in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as assigned, including preparation of data for monthly journal entries.
  • Prepare and generate requested internal and external data for financial statements.
  • Prepare financial projections, budgets, and variance reports.
  • Review reports to verify completeness and accuracy.
  • Respond to management inquiries regarding financial information.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Develop and assist in implementing policies and procedures to improve workflow.
  • Perform special projects as requested.
  • Complete all functions and responsibilities within established time frames.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Conform to all applicable agency policies and procedures.
  • Participate actively in continuing education and in‑services.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and business trade practices.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Time management.
  • Advanced written and verbal interpersonal communication.
  • Healthcare industry experience required.
  • Mergers and acquisition finance experience necessary.
  • Experience working in a growing startup environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience interacting and reporting to Board of Directors and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop staff members.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Self‑starter / self‑motivated.
  • Ability to take initiative as needed.
Information Management

Treat all information and data within the scope of the position with appropriate confidentiality and security.

Minimum Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration required.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
  • Home health/hospice experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with lease accounting standards preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Sage Intacct preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Driver’s license and proof of current auto liability insurance; no listing in the OIG Excluded Provider listing.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
Environmental Conditions

Works under a variety of conditions in facilities and offices; ability to work flexible schedule, ability to travel locally; some exposure to unpleasant weather. Moderate noise level; tasks may involve exposure to blood borne pathogens; moderate stress and emotional demands.

Physical Requirements

Sitting is required. Requires ability to always handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and agency needs. Ability to travel via a car or plane.
