Senior Mortgage Loan Processor

Responsibilities

• Compile and audit all loan information to submit to underwriting, collect conditions, and coordinate the file to closing.
• Verify and audit all loan documents and information provided by the customer and loan officer.
• Process the loan to submit to underwriting, which includes review of appraisal and all supporting documents in the loan file.
• Collect and audit conditions received.
• Prepare files for closing, auditing title work, survey, Flood, CIP, Fraud Guard, and HOI.
• Work closely with the title company and loan officer to get documents and the closing disclosure prepared in a timely manner.
• Review the closing disclosure and communicate changes needed to close with the loan officer and closer.
• Follow up with closing to ensure all items required for funding the loan have been received.
• Ensure all compliance regulations have been met.
• Order all documents needed for loan files such as appraisal, title, insurance, flood, CIP, Fraud Guard, and verify their completion.
• Handle more complex loan programs such as Seth, VA, and TSACH loans.
• Mentor new loan processors as they are hired and acclimated.

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Understanding of mortgage loan processing functions, including FHA, VA, and Conventional mortgage lending.
• Experience with Encompass software is preferred.
• Knowledge of mortgage related requirements, procedures, and underwriting criteria.
• Five or more years’ experience in mortgage loan processing.
• Good verbal and public relations skills.
• Strong typing abilities.
• Good basic math skills.
• Proficient use of related computer applications.
• Well organized.
