Compensation

$80-90k base salary (flexible/based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager who can operate across both accounting and strategic finance. This is a hands-on opportunity for an accounting or finance professional who enjoys working in a growing, entrepreneurial environment and wants to play a meaningful role in building the company's financial infrastructure.

Working closely with senior leadership, this individual will oversee core accounting functions while also supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, cash-flow planning, and business analysis. The ideal candidate has the technical accounting foundation to manage the details while also being comfortable stepping back to evaluate the broader financial impact of business decisions.

This position offers significant growth potential for someone who wants to develop into a broader financial leadership role as the company scales.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close
  • Manage payroll administration, employee expense tracking, compensation reporting, and related cost allocations
  • Support headcount planning, compensation analysis, and organizational budgeting
  • Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, cash-flow projections, and financial plans
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for senior leadership, highlighting business performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Monitor revenue, gross margin, cost of goods sold, operating expenses, inventory investment, and profitability across products and sales channels
  • Partner with leadership on pricing decisions, margin analysis, investments, and growth initiatives
  • Build financial models to evaluate new products, marketing initiatives, hiring plans, and other strategic opportunities
  • Establish and improve accounting controls, financial processes, and reporting systems to support continued growth
  • Coordinate with external tax, audit, payroll, banking, and accounting partners as needed
  • Translate financial results and business data into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership
  • Participate in broader business planning and strategy by evaluating the financial implications of key decisions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
  • Approximately 4-6 years of progressive accounting, finance, or FP&A experience
  • Experience with in beauty, consumer products, retail, e-commerce, or another inventory-based business is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and management reporting
  • Experience with payroll, compensation analysis, and employee cost allocation
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets with strong financial modeling capabilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn financial data into practical business recommendations
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to balance detailed accounting responsibilities with higher-level financial analysis and strategic thinking
  • High level of integrity, discretion, accountability, and attention to detail
