Overview
The US Oncology Network is looking for a Revenue Cycle Supervisor to join our team at Texas Oncology. This full‑time position will support the Revenue Cycle Surgery Department at our 3001
E. President George Bush Highway Suite 100 location in Richardson, Texas. The typical work week is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Supervises day to day revenue cycle operations in order to maximize collection of medical services payments and reimbursements from patients, insurance carriers, financial aid, and guarantors. Supports US Oncology Compliance Program, including Code of Ethics and Business Standards, and US Oncology’s Shared Values.
Responsibilities- Supervises daily business functions of patient visits from entry to accurate adjudication of patient accounts. Scope includes appointment scheduling, insurance eligibility, charge processing, claim submission, payment processing, collections, accounts receivable management, denial management, reporting, auditing, coding, credentialing, customer service, training, analytics, and all other revenue cycle management activities. Resolves escalated issues.
- Ensures quality work, meets deadlines, and adheres to SOPs; audits staff work for compliance.
- Monthly prepares revenue cycle financial analysis, including aged accounts, monitors metrics, and refines processes.
- Champions new initiatives and acts as catalyst for change.
- Develops, implements, and maintains training materials; conducts training on SOPs, systems, metrics, regulations.
- Coordinates front‑office duties: scheduling, check‑in, co‑pay/co‑insurance collection.
- Attracts high‑caliber people, assesses strengths, provides coaching, oversees hiring, performance, salary, discipline. Enforces policies.
- Other duties as requested or assigned.
- Associate’s degree in Finance, Business, or equivalent OR four years revenue cycle experience.
- At least four years of medical revenue cycle work experience with a track record of achieving metrics.
- Two years experience managing and delegating work priorities of others (strongly desired).
- Strong knowledge of medical insurance billing, collections, CPT, ICD‑9, HCPCS coding, medical terminology, and managed care products (HMO, PPO, etc).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Requirement to be present at the employee site during business hours; sit or stand, carry items up to 40 lb. Requires full range of motion, manual dexterity, vision, hearing.
Work EnvironmentIncludes exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations. Requires in‑person interaction; minimal travel by automobile.
