Position Summary:

The Pharmacist will be responsible for reviewing Prior Authorization and medication exception requests. Will provide guidance to the PA Specialists regarding case evaluation criteria; and will serve as a clinical resource to the department as needed. This position will include completing data analysis and various clinical projects.

• Will be responsible for reviewing Prior Authorization/Exception requests and performaing Misc. data analysis, clinical projects and serve as the primary clinical resource for prior authorizations.

• Active TX state licensed pharmacist with current license to practice with no restrictions
• Experience:
  
  * Clinical pharmacist with experience in medication review, patient counseling and identification of drug-related problems
• * Outstanding written and communication skills required
• * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail necessary
• * Experience with Microsoft applications required
