Responsible for providing efficient, quality-oriented patient care within the scope of the department's policy/procedure manual. Performs support activities such as equipment maintenance, changes, inventory, and sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness.

Current,valid,andactivelicensetopracticeasa Registered Respiratory Therapistor Certified Respiratory  Therapist in the state of employment required.

CurrentBLScertificationfromaCORALVITA-approvedvendorrequired.

ACLScertificationfromaCORALVITA-approvedvendorrequiredwithinsix(6) monthsofhire.

One(1) yearcriticalcareand/orartificialairwayandventilatorcareexperiencepreferred. Ability to project a professional image.

Knowledgeofregulatorystandardsandcompliancerequirements. Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.

Abilitytomakeindependentdecisionswhencircumstanceswarrant.

Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions. Freedomfromillegaluseofandeffectsofuseofdrugsandalcoholintheworkplace.

Current,valid,andactivelicensetopracticeasa

Registered Respiratory Therapistor Certified Respiratory  Therapist in the state of employment required. Documented proof of obtained degrees for regulatory compliance purposes. Current BLS certification from a CORALVITA-approved vendor required. ACLS certification from a CORALVITA-approved vendor required within six (6) months of hire.

Monitors inventory of supplies and equipment at bedside and storage areas to ensure resources are available. Completes equipment calibration and quality control procedures as established,participatesinequipmentmaintenance,dis-infection,andsterilizationofall respiratory equipment.

Provide patient,familyandstaffeducationas appropriate.

Participates in equipment maintenance, dis-infection, and sterilization of all respiratory equipment.
