Job Description & How to Apply Below

Overview

Optomi is seeking a Product Manager to join a growing product organization focused on modernizing a legacy valuation platform and delivering AI-enabled workflows for appraisal professionals. This role is ideal for a true product manager—someone who is deeply user-focused, asks why before what, and translates real user pain points into valuable, well-prioritized features. This position is execution-focused and highly collaborative, with an emphasis on discovery, user engagement, and backlog ownership rather than project or delivery management.

Location

Hybrid in Richardson, TX (1-2x per week onsite)

Type

W2 Contract to Hire (6 months)

Required Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience as a pure Product Manager (not project, program, or delivery management)
  • Strong experience engaging directly with users and advocating for their needs
  • Proven ability to ask the right questions, understand trade-offs, and prioritize work based on user and business impact
  • Hands-on experience writing user stories, managing backlogs, and delivering features in an Agile environment
  • Data-driven mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative personality with the confidence to respectfully challenge ideas and contribute independent thinking
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on complex, workflow-driven platforms
  • Exposure to AI-assisted products or automation (deep AI/ML expertise not required)
  • Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops, Power BI, or similar tools
  • Background in highly regulated or data-heavy domains
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner directly with business users and stakeholders to conduct discovery, user research, and testing to uncover needs, pain points, and opportunities
  • Translate user insights into clear, actionable user stories and well-groomed backlogs
  • Own a defined initiative or workflow within the end-to-end appraisal platform
  • Execute against an established product roadmap while identifying opportunities to improve adoption and user outcomes
  • Use data and existing dashboards to measure product performance, inform prioritization, and validate decisions
  • Collaborate closely with UX, Engineering, Scrum Masters, and business leaders to balance customer needs and business priorities
  • Lead Agile ceremonies independently and ensure consistent, incremental delivery of value
  • Support AI-enabled workflows that assist valuation professionals (not full automation), focusing on usability, trust, and adoption
