Role OverviewBEPC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer / Sr. Applications Development Analyst to support one of the most mission-critical semiconductor manufacturing sites in Richardson, Texas. This role is responsible for architecting, deploying, and supporting both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) network solutions that enable advanced manufacturing, automation, and AI-driven processes.
The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with Cisco-based infrastructure, factory-floor networking, and IT/OT convergence, and thrives in complex, high-availability manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational support for on-premises network infrastructure, from enterprise SD-WAN (EWN) down to sensor-level communications
- Support LAN, WLAN, IoT, and factory-floor (Level 2/3 OT) networking environments
- Collaborate with process, equipment, and advanced manufacturing engineering teams to enable equipment integration and automation
- Design, develop, and deploy Special Use Networks (SUN) to segment and secure critical manufacturing operations
- Migrate site authentication from Enterprise Wide Network (EWN) to site-level domain controller authentication
- Troubleshoot network performance issues across IT/OT layers to ensure secure and reliable communications
- Deploy and support switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, and monitoring tools
- Participate in cross-functional calls and daily manufacturing tier meetings to resolve network-related issues
- Partner with Corporate IT and Global Security teams to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards
- Maintain network documentation including topology diagrams, configurations, and change logs
- Ensure network resilience, redundancy, and high availability through proactive design and maintenance
- Monitor network health, performance, and capacity using dashboards and monitoring tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise and industrial network infrastructure in manufacturing or site environments
- Strong hands‑on experience with Cisco networking equipment
- Proven experience with IT/OT collaboration (Levels 3.5/4 integration)
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals:
- Firewalls, VPNs, VLANs
- DNS, DHCP, NAT
- Routing and switching
- Experience with high availability, redundancy, and Quality of Service (QoS)
- Experience with network segmentation, disaster recovery, and resilience strategies
- Familiarity with Dev Ops‑style network operations (CI/CD, IaC, automation, monitoring)
- 2+ years of Power Shell scripting experience
- 1+ year of experience using Service Management platforms (e.g., Service Now)
- Strong documentation skills for network architecture and automation
- Advanced degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Cisco certification (CCNA or equivalent)
- Experience with multi‑vendor network environments (Cisco, Arista, Dell, Palo Alto)
- Experience with network patching and security hardening tools (e.g., Tanium, CHEF)
- Familiarity with backup and recovery platforms (Rubrik, Veeam, Commvault, Zerto)
- Knowledge of industrial protocols, SCADA systems, MES platforms, and equipment integration
- Experience supporting Windows‑based manufacturing PCs and servers
- Strong understanding of industrial network architectures (layered models, DMZs, secure remote access)
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently in fast‑paced environments
