JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES IT Support Specialist- Responsibilities: Provides first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, or in-person.

Actively participates in all quality assurance, performance improvement activities.
- Operates standard office equipment, including computers, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- At least three (3) years of experience in healthcare IT preferred.
- Technical Expertise:
Strong understanding of healthcare IT systems, including EHRs, networking, cybersecurity, and data management. - Strategic Thinking:
Ability to develop and implement IT strategies that align with the hospital’s overall goals. - Communication and Interpersonal
Skills:
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clinicians, administrators, and other stakeholders. - Problem-Solving:
Ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions. Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands within the work environment. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, time, and responsibilities effectively, as well as to work independently and with minimal supervision. - Regulatory Knowledge:
Understanding of HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations. - Project Management:
Experience in managing IT projects from initiation to completion. - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to tolerate mental and emotional distress as an anticipated aspect of the position.
- May require working under stressful conditions.
- Requires sitting and standing for extended periods of time. Some bending, stretching, lifting, and stooping may be required.
- Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment. Requires a normal range of hearing and vision, and the ability to communicate with office personnel, patients, and the community.
