Nutanix Infrastructure engineer

Overview

Job Summary

This position is responsible for handling 24x7 operations infrastructure support services of all non-production and production environments in the area of responsibility. Handling the use of analytics to improve service, availability, and customer interactions; handling incident resolution and issues escalated by vendors; transitioning knowledge from design / build teams. Handling operational vendor performance management.

• Provide 24x7 operations infrastructure support for non-production and production environments within area of responsibility.
• Use analytics to improve service, availability, and customer interactions.
• Resolve incidents and escalate issues identified by vendors; transition knowledge from design/build teams.
• Manage operational vendor performance.

• Bachelor degree and 2 years in Information Technology OR Technical Certification and/or College Courses and 4 year Information Technology experience OR 6 years Information Technology experience.
• Knowledge of ITIL v3 framework
• Knowledge of ITSM systems
• Knowledge of all Infrastructure technologies, including monitoring and event management technologies
• Experience with UC/Collaboration and Executive Support, including mobile devices (laptops, tablets, handheld)
• Experience with Broadcom VCF SAN and Nutanix AHV hyperconverged platforms.
• Experience with migration, automation, CICD, Scripting, Storage, Middleware, including Server, OS, Virtualization, and Container technologies.
• Experience with Network, Voice, Call Center and Network (data and voice) technologies
• Supplier management
• Infrastructure hardware support and engineering experience of Dell, HP, or Cisco technologies.

• Knowledge of required technologies (incl 3rd party solutions)

• Adaptability and ability to introduce / manage change

• Bachelor degree in relevant field (IT, Engineering) or equivalent career experience
• ITSM/CMDB application experience with Service Now
• Oral/written communication skills
• Microsoft Suite of products
• Broadcom VMware VCF and SRM experience
• Nutanix AHV, DR and Prism Central experience – 2 years
• Kubernetes and Ansible experience
• Aria operations experience
• Cisco UCS and Intersight Platform administration
• HPE One View and Synergy platform administration
• Dell Open Manage Enterprise and iDRAC
• Dev Ops tools experience with Git Hub, and other applications
• Power Shell and other scripting language experience
• Migration Experience

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.

Base Pay Range

$61,500.00 - $
