The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced
Dev Sec Ops Software Engineer to join our Special Projects Dallas (SPD) P-8A Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) team in Richardson, TX
. This position focuses on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, build systems, artifact repositories, and automated test integration for real-time software.
- Integrate security controls (SCA, SAST, DAST, dependency management, secrets management) into automated pipelines and enforce secure‑by‑design practices.
- Automate deployment, configuration management, and environment provisioning using IaC tools and orchestration platforms.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize toolchain performance, build reliability, and pipeline throughput. Implement metrics and dashboards.
- Work closely with architects and engineers to ensure software releases meet safety, reliability, and compliance requirements.
- Define and maintain processes, templates, and standards for reproducible builds, release management, and rollback strategies.
- Plan and execute risk assessments and mitigation strategies for threats, vulnerabilities, and supply chain issues.
- Mentor and guide team members on Dev Sec Ops best practices, tooling, and automation techniques.
- Support security audits, CMMC/NIST/DoD/STIG alignment and certification activities as needed.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Physics or another technical discipline.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops engineering, with demonstrated automation of CI/CD pipelines and development tool chains.
- 3+ years developing or integrating software in Linux environments (Red Hat Enterprise Linux preferred).
- 3+ years experience with scripting and automation languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Groovy).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience implementing security tooling into pipelines (SAST/SCA/DAST, secrets management, policy‑as‑code).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance (or have had one active within the past 24 months).
- IAT‑level 2 (Active Security +).
- Proven experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops, or ArgoCD.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and regulations (NIST SP 800‑53/800‑171, CMMC).
- Experience with observability and monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK) and building operational dashboards.
- Prior experience supporting production systems and incident response in a 24x7 environment.
- Experience with software configuration management, artifact repositories (Nexus/Artifactory), and release/version control best practices.
- Experience working in Agile environments and with Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops transformation initiatives.
Less than 10% travel required. This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship. The employer will not sponsor employment visas. Shift 1 in the United States of America.
CompensationCompetitive base pay with variable compensation. Summary pay range: $119,850 - $162,150.
